    Default Intake Manifold Swap

Hello everyone, I'm visiting here from America and I have a question I'm hoping someone here can resolve. (I'm not sure if this is in the right section, I'm not familiar with which car this engine came with)
I recently put a FWD version of the Buick 3800 series 1 (L27) v6 into a RWD car. I now have an issue with the intake manifold facing the firewall, so we did what we could to make it work. It's not pretty but it works well enough to make the car run. Now I'm looking for a better solution to my problem. From what I understand Holden Commodores were the only cars to get a RWD version of the L27. I noticed that the intake manifold for holden's has a 90 degree angle on it making it much easier to turn around.

I'm wondering if the intake manifold that's on these holden L27's will bolt onto the FWD version of the L27 we have in the US?

Basically I want to know if the intake manifold from this engine:

    Will bolt/fit onto this engine:

    Thanks in advance.

his pic is the first version of that manifold, which was aluminum. would be good to weld up for a turbo plenum

i bought a plastic upper and lower manifold a few years back with the intention of putting it on my vn, i never finished it.

they run a 55mm throttlebody stock, i opened up the intake and made a fitting for a vn tb, then bought a ls1 tb and adaptor.

i started modifying the lower manifold to remove some unused water ports and such

    beside a s2 manifold

    lower manifold

    inside plenum

removable piece that completes the runners

mocked up in engine bay(yes it clears the bonnet)

wow, you guys are fast. Thanks for the responses.
That sounds pretty good. I wasn't sure exactly how different these engines were, but now it sounds like they're not different at all.

Thanks for showing those pictures hakhawk, they answered a lot of my questions. I never realized that the 90 degree bend was a removable piece. I'm starting to think that the manifolds on your cars are just modified versions of the LN3's (pre series 1) manifold. I thought they looked a lot alike, but I didn't know that they were that similar. I guess it makes sense too since they were also a one piece manifold. I'm gonna have to go to the junkyard now and do a little bit of research. I think I might be able to fab up my own 90 degree bend.
I'm starting to feel pretty stupid now for doing what we ended up doing.

Here's some pictures of what the guts of the manifold look like.
hakhawk already showed the plastic one so here's what the metal one looks like:

The end of this one was cut off so I could finish my project, so the throttle body doesn't bolt on to what you're seeing.
The differences between the two is that the plastic one has like a gutted inside, but this one has little pipe like things for each cylinder. Also the plastic one has EGR. Here's some pics of the black one installed on my other car.

    Here's the EGR

And here it is with the cover off:

sorry about the picture quality btw, i had to use my phone since i was too lazy to charge my camera.
