Default Will this steering wheel fit into a VP?

    Hi,
I need to remove the disgusting woodgrain steering wheel from my VP, I assume the last owner used a boss kit. Anyway I need something padded, and I don't mind the non-airbag VR but I want something that looks newer, so I was looking at some threads and some of you say the VR steering wheel fits onto VN/VP well, so would this fit?
HOLDEN COMMODORE VR VS GREY & SILVER STEERING WHEEL HSV - eBay Steering Wheels, Horns, Interior, Car, Truck Parts, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 28-Sep-10 15:27:30 AEST)

It says airbag not included, so if i never fit one that shouldnt be a problem, yeah?
    Thanks

I dont know if the air bag wheel is different or not to the standard non air bag unit.

Should ask them if the non air bag horn pad will fit the wheel or not. (I have a VS non air bag wheel on my Calais VN - and it works fine)

do you have a picture of it? I can't seem to find any on eBay for VS that are non airbag, unless it looks pretty much the same (4spoke design) anything is better than the VP stock wheel haha.

that's exactly what I'm after! So the pins on the airbag version should be the same right? As long as I don't put an airbag in it I can't see an issue :/

You will need to find out if the horn pad mounts are the same - should be - but I would check. - And that the horn wires will connect up.

Just as a matter of interest, the four spoke wheels from VR's are different for airbag and non-airbag fitted cars. I purchased a non-airbag four spoke wheel wheel to replace the wheel on my son's Acclaim, which had the airbag, as his opld wheel was very worn and the rubber rim moved around the steel frame of the wheel.

We stripped the bag off his wheel and found that it could not be fitted to the non-airbag wheel we had purchased. The inside of the wheel was differently machined or somesuch, I can't remember exactly now but it was definitely a no-go fitting an airbag to a non-airbag four spoker. I ended up putting the four spoker on my Berlina in place of the three spoker it came with.

Just spoke with the bloke I know at the wreckers - non air bag and air bag horn pads will not interchange on the VS wheels.

    Calaber is spot on.
