Default Will VN series 2 motor fit in series 1???

I have a great VN S1 6 motor in a crap car, and can get a great S2 6 car with a dud motor.
The gearbox on the S1 is crap.
Will the S1 motor go straight in to the S2 car??

If so, this will save me a lot of money and trouble.
    Thanks guys!

no, it will not fit. vn s1 has a different crankshaft to s2. done quite a bit of research into this because i was gonna to try a vn s1 engine in my vp. series one has a 6 bolt pattern (different also between manual and auto) and the series 2 is an 8 bolt pattern. if you want to change the engine, you'll need to change the transmission also. as for the wiring and computer, i didn't look that far into it but, it should be roughly the same.

Why do people reply that obviously have no idea?

    V6 Crankshaft Info

If its auto you will be able to use either gearbox engine combo, but you need the right flex plate. A S1 6 bolt flex plate will bolt upto your S1 (if it is a auto motor) and you can then attach either series auto box to it. This is because the tourqe converter still has the same 3 bolts holding it to the flex plate both S1 and S2.

Computer wise your all good, no difference in a VN manual/auto.

you need the 8 bolt flywheel if you have a flywheel from the series 1 engine it will be 6 bolt. ( the auto has a flexplate not a flywheel)

also, a series 2 box WILL bolt onto a series 1. you just need the right flywheel i had a T5 vr box on my series one engine .
