Default How do i remove a Level 3 Cluster loom?

hi all, im looking at doing a level 3 dash upgrade on my 88 VN T5 Wagon, but it dosent have the 4th plug, however ive got a loom in my other vn thats off to the wreckers, but i have no idea how to remove it :/, im also wondering about the power window loom, from the center console, behind the dash and into the fuse box, any help would be great

Thr loom starts at the cruise control plug ang comes around the front of the car and back into the car via the fie wall on the drivers side. It then goes back around past the cluster/dash accrss to the ECU.

yep - dash out - not that much to it after the centre console is out. it's about 10 bolts tops.

Once the side vents are off and the under dash trim bits - all of 10 mins work.

The dash pad then only has 8 or so main bolts holding it in.

Do you need to remove steering wheel/column or can you work around them (wouldn't mind pulling mine apart to find out why my loom is so tight near the dash area and install my power window/mirror, etc loom at the same time)
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?

You have to undo the bolts - I supported the column with a block of wood to the floor. The loom is pinned to the dash pad and there is enough room to look at the loom. You should be able to "reset" the loom to give you more lenght for the switchblock wires.
