    Default air con switches do they have lights ??

    does the air con unit have lights behind it that hould light up or didnt it have them

    Yes definitely has a back light when lights are on but no light to show it is in the ON position.

    When I bought my first VN almost brand new, I remember for weeks I drove around with the air con button out, thinking this was the off position...doh!
    It wasn't until I went to use the air con and realized I got it ass about

    oh sorry my mistake i mean the heater settings and different vent settings does it have a light behind it ??
    like the hot and cold and defrost /face vents switches

    Ok pretty simple refer to the this thread
    Complete VN,VP,VR,VS,VQ,VG Headunit Guide [56k warning]
    This will show how to get the unit out. You can skip the first couple of step till he starts removing the center console part and radio surround. Once you have it out you should be able to access the 2 globes from the back of it if i remember correctly
