Default Secure Amp under the seat Tips

I just got a new box for my sub and installed it last night. I used to have a ute and I had built me own slim box and the amp had been attached to that. Now my subs sounds so much cleaner and loud enough to vibrate your clothes and hair without the stereo and amp on 0

The amp is too big to attach to the sub box (which fits beautifully in the corner) so I wired it under the passanger front seat.

I was just wondering how did anyone else actually attach it under the seat? Mines just sitting loose.

Is there a way to attach it without removing the seat?

Your best to pull the seat out, its only 4 bolts and means you can easily run the wires under the carpet. I screwed mine down to the floor, theres nothing but flat steel under it so figured itd be fine. I though about velcro but thought the sticky back would eventually let go under the constant change in temp and pulls of cornering

velcro works good, if you dont want to dril holes in your floor, just make sure you clean your amp with wax and greece remover

Thats a lot simpler than I what I was thinking of doing - was thinking of laying ply wood under carpet and screwing it down

Is it safe to keep the amp on carpet?

its a 1400w with LEDs etc and I moved it out of sight after it had been running for about 30mins and it was pretty hot - but not too hot to touch though

Im not sure about the heat think, my rockford amps run very cool so it wasnt an issue. it should be fine though as long as your not covering any vents

it will be fine, i worked at strathfield for a while and we used to allways just velco under seats and no1 came back about amps flying around the car lol, and it makes it easy to remove, but if its a realy heavy amp you are better off doin it with the ply, sorry about my spelling:P
