Brakes cause park lights to come on

Out ofd the blue, when i press on my brakes my park lights and dash lights come on.
Any ideas?

There is a short somewhere between your brake and parking light circuits. It happened once to a friend because he had put single filament globes into a stop/park fitting. I'd be unplugging your rear brake light harness at the connection on the right hand side rear corner of the boot and trying the brake pedal again. If the dash lights don't come on then the fault is in that harness/globe sockets if it still does it you have a problem elsewhere. It's a process of elimination, let us know how you go .

either blown rear bulb or a single filament bulb in a duel holder or corroded holder which stops the bulbs earthing and they earth via the park lights

i would say short..

check all rear parker lights and make sure the wires are not shorting...
