Default A few noob question about headers

    Hey Guys,

I have a few questions about headers:

What should I be looking for? going from the forums pacemakers are the best

Are any of these any good? As I said I'm not really to sure what to look for. (I'm mostly looking at the first one but the second one is nice and cheap lol)

Race extractors for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand

performance headers to fit VN VP and VR holden V6 for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand

PACEMAKER HEADERS COMMODORE V6 for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand

Are they bolt on or do you need other parts?

Judging from the forums it sounds like they're a bit of a b*tch to install so I'll prob get a mechanic to install them. How long do they take to install roughly?

Are there different size headers for different exhausts? i.e: I currently have a stock exhaust, I'm also looking to upgrade it eventually so is it best to wait and upgrade both headers and exhaust at the same time or is it sweet to do headers first then exhaust (or vice versa) or is there a certain order I should be doing it in?

Edit: O, and and are they even worth it? (should've really been my first question haha)

On a V6 streeter it doesn't really matter which brand you use, they all do the same job. You have to look at performance gain versus $$$ spent, ask yourself, is it really worth the extra $$$ for Pacemaker for the 0.001% gain over any other brand?

Fitting is not that hard, to get the RHS in you will have to unbolt the rack and move it to the side.

I personally would go for "performance headers to fit VN VP and VR holden V6" (the second one) but dont pay more than $150 or so for them, they are made by Coby and can be had for something like $250/pair new.

The first auction, for the race extractors, doesnt even look like it would fit a commodore. They look like they have come off a stockcar with a 3800 and may be difficult to get down between your steering rack and your firewall.
