Help..My wipers stop at top instead of bottom...
I have been searching for quite a while now and i cannot find a topic to suit me. I'm not new here i just have never posted as i dont really know how all this stuff works...so hi!!! lol So here it is.. my wiper motor snapped off and so ive changed the motor over.. so now ive swapped the motor over my wipers keep stopping at the top of the windscreen! I never had this problem last time it was a just a minor bit of adjusting to get them right... is it possible the motor is infact the wrong way.. it looks the same as any pictures ive seen or is it as simple as just adjusting them until i get it right? I really dont want to keep fiddling with them incase i break them and its raining here so i need them lol! Anyway if someone could give me a bit of advice on where to go from here that would be great!

it may be put on wrong and needs to be adjusted or the earth may be not connecting right
i did find the earth on the new motor doesnt want to screw in as good as the old one.. should i take it off and put my old earth on just so it screws in further? Do i have to unplug it so i dont fry myself.. i'm sure these are dumb noob questions lol but i have no idea what i'm doing

whenever your'e fiddling with electrics its just safer to disconect the battery (but you should be fine). It also could be a faulty motor if you got it second hand
yeah i did i grabbed it at the wreckers.... and it doesnt seem to matter how long i stand and stare at them i just cant see how i can put the arms on to make them in the right position... ok i'm going to go out and pull the whole thing out again and start again i guess and swap the earths over too! And this is why men should do these jobs lol ....
ok so ive checked the motor is the right way and it has to be coz it wont fit any other way... they must be earthed or they wouldnt work i guess and when i turn them on they simply go down instead of up! i'm not sure if this is useful at all but they simply appear to be turning the wrong way.... :S they are infact backwards so it would seem.....

you have the arm on the motor from the wipers half a turn out undo the nut off the motor shaft lift off arm and turn it the other way round from

ohhh u mean the moving arm behind the motor?? in the pictures i was looking at mine points to the left and the others point to the right... i think i see what ur saying.. if i point it to the right i should be then turning the correct way again....
