Is it possible to move the fuel filter from being near the petrol tank and put the fuel filter in under the bonnet to make it more accessible?

it's possible you can fit it in the fuel feed line from the fire wall to teh fuel rail but you would need to make a bracket. These are not changed that often and pretty easy to get at from under the car anyway so I don't think I'd bother as moving it to the engine bay should it fail or the connections to it loosen due to vibration etc you could get a leak of fuel.
