So today I was driving thru Perth fine and stopes at a set of lights but when I took off my whole car shuddered and it just gets worse the faster I go. Any one know what the problem could be?
Sorry about the spelling I'm on my iPhone
Manual / Auto / Under load / rolling in neutral / what about reverse... you know a little more info than "My car Shudders..." & "What's wrong?"![]()
did u get an engine light in conjunction with this?
It's auto and it starts to shudder when I take off and it won't stop until the car stops. I didn't get any engine lights at all when it happened
could it be fouled leads / plugs? That usually causes a shuddering and gets worse the faster you go.
The shuddering seems to be coming from the tailshaft

Probably the Gearbox mount is stuffed. Would also be looking at the Engine mounts.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
Do you know how much a uni joint will cost to replace? It's a vn commodore
just got a rough idea from supercheap= $19.00 for a 6cyl vn
id say itd more likely to be center bearing or gearbox mount if its really bad theres more than one uni jint in the tailshaft check to see if the seals are gone if so uni either rooted or will be soon . Pull the shaft out and check the uni center bearing if you dont know what your doing take it to a decent mechanic and ask for his opinion
