    Default ecu

ok, so i was changing the aerial on the commodore today and had to open the kick panel on the passenger side and noticed that the ecu had VN auto written on it
wouldnt be an issue i figure, except my car is a VP is this common?
also would i benefit by replacing it with a VP unit?
