    Default SV3800 memcal worth getting?

    Hi

Thinking of putting a SV3800 memcal in my T5 3.8 VP, it has pacies, 2 1/2" exhaust and soon to get a mace style CAI and K&N pod

    Is it worth getting?

    Thanks

    VKC

    How much is it?
I would have thought a nicefrog tune would be a better idea?

You can pick them up on bay for about 25$, or buy HSV genuine for 300$, I assume it's like a burnt CD, pretty label on real thing, same data inside. For $25 can't hurt, it's my next 'mod'.

When I ran the SV3800 tune the car went a weee bit better and used heaps of fuel. Greenfoam racing has the 3.8 well covered.

I ran it for a while. Placebo effect. Chucked the standard back in and it ran better and used less fuel.

Wasnt jibbed, burned it myself. Unless the image was dodgy, but I got it off foam

No doubt it would make a difference on an actual SV3800 with the different cam and what not that it was designed for lol. Id go with a foam tune. Havnt tried one myself but Ive only ever heard good things.

Where is he anyway? Disappeared without a trace few months ago, and only contactable through ebay?

The easiest way to get a hold of greenfoam is to just buy his memcal and go from there. If he cannot do it then he will message you back and let you know. He is a very busy man.
