i have a vp v6 wagon and yesterday i removed the (donut) gas tank as it is out of date and i need a roadworthy. today, i started the car up and now the petrol gauge isn't working. thought i might have snagged a wire or blown the fuse but everything seems fine. the gas gauge was a seperate unit so i don't see how removing it could affect the petrol gauge though, i could be wrong. any ideas?
