my vp calais has a overdrive problem

i changed my v6 with another v6 and kept the same t700 auto it was working really good before but know it doesn't get overdrive it goes through 1,2 and 3 perfect but no overdrive(4th).Ive been told about the computer but i don't think this box runs with a computer as it has a tv cable.any ideas?????

the new engine you put in, was that a VP engine too or was it a VN one or a VR one or something? also check your level of your tranny fluid. its a pretty long shot because the other gears work fine, but i know a wrong level of tranny fluid can cause all sorts of problems. just what my first step would be anyways ........

Go over everything little before jumping to conclusions, did you take the auto out with the engine swap? Check your t bar is clicking into overdrive or the second d properly check your kickdown cable is adjusted correctly check the fluid ect
