How do I fix thisanyone come up with any simple tricks to make the rear plate look decent?
I made the rookie mistake today of switching my shit yellow NSW plates for standard white ones, $80 changeover, not realising the rear plate was also slimmer than the yellow normal sized ones.. looks a bit odd since you can see the lower plate mount mouldings in the rear garnish
If someone has a clever idea regarding this please let me know! Stupid NSW has caught me off guard

Is it possible to get another plate made up but in normal size?
Ive already pre-checked mine with my other cars slimline plate, and the statos have the mounting/mouldings as well, so cant have a slimmy on the back![]()
what about a nice wooden picture frame with the plate in the middle?
but seriously, I had the same issue and ended up fabricating a metal panel then mounted the licence plate in the middle of that. Turned out ok painted black and at least you couldnt see the plastic mouldings anymore.
grind the lower mounts off and fill the holes

Thought about those two last options there, not really keen since I don't have any of the gear I need to do it, since I don't have my shed at the moment.
Not keen on paying for another ####ing set of plates either

i know in the NT you could get slim for the front and normal large for the rear... surly you can do that there.
probably, but i refuse to pay for another set of plates just yet.
stupid NSW, in Perth it costs a whole $13 to change your plates to a shiny new set of blue on white ones.
