just baught i belive it is a 89 vn executive , it is purple , origonal white still in engine bay , it has V8 injectors and bigger fuel rail , also have a widenouth air intake , i have been told it has a shift kit in it , it has exhaust 2.5in all the way through .also have been told it has built heads (top end). allso is on cut springs right now i was told but a mate of mine says it rides awsome ...

does anyone know how i can tell if it has had top end ( head) work dont to it ??
and does anyone know the best coil suspension to go with ?

sounds like a good project, the only way to see if any head works been done is to pull off the intake manifold and/or exhaust headers and have a look but even then you probably wont be able to tell. As for the springs replace them asap as cut springs are very dangerous hit up king springs or pedders sports rider, low and super low or equivalent are good heights for a balance of lowness and practicality, you can tell its got a shift kit by the way it changes from 1st to 2nd if its hard and fast and slams you back in the seat when it changes as you gun it then it has a shift kit of some kind or upgraded servo, if it shifts sloshy theres no shift kit. for 400 sheets you can't go wrong good buy!!

ha ha yeah i have only driven it a block but it shifted from first to second pritty quick and fast n hard ! lol , its actually a really nice car just need it to get through road worthy should be within 2-4 weeks it runs prity good has a miss though but i have another coil to putt on, and i guess the altinator is bad so i got one of those . just need to putt on some stockie springs and put new tires on and tacho and sun visors , i will have some pics up soon
