Thread: no instrument illumination

    Default no instrument illumination

    blew the no 1 fuse (instrument illumination, trip computer, parking lamps and radio) so i replaced it and now the dash wont light up i have tested all the globes and they are fine what am i missing?

    a term known as "open circuit blow" - one theory could be, You had a phase wire rub thru some where to the body of the car, makes a blow, but now is "open circuit" so when you replace the fuse - the fuse don't blow and still your lights won't work......test the phase cable from point a to b if it comes up continuous, rule out "open circuit blow"
