Stereo mounting bracket

My stereo's been wedged into my car with a bit of paper now and after moving my amp under the seat its come loose. I was looking at something like this (but obviously a holden vp version)

but 40bucks seems a bit steep for a mounting bracket.

Is it best to just stop being jewish and buy the mounting bracket? are there cheaper options? I'm in nz.

How has everyone else done it?

I made mine from some steel it's not hard you just gotta have a drill and something to bend the steel with

Cheers for you help. Just ended up drilling holes in the bottom of the stereo mounting bracket and screwing it into the plastic that runs along the bottom (behind the switches that aren't switches in mine)
