    Default transmission coolers

just wondering who out there has a transmission cooler on the VN/P/G/Q
i dug up my old one and am considering putting it in my car.
and was just wondering how much of a benefit it would be on my car.
it doesnt overheat or anything like that, but i figure since i do long roadtrips alot it could be a handy thing to have on it

its nothing too big, probably the size of an A4 sheet of paper, so it should be more then enough for my needs

also those that have them, how hard was it to install?

Easy as pie. You take the existing hose that went into the top of the radiator. Route that to one side of the cooler. Then the other outlet goes back into the transmission

Transmission coolers are a good safety measure to have and your transmission cooler sounds like a good size.

im actually thinking avoid the radiator completely, ive heard the radiators used in the VN/P commodores arent as good anymore (i guess its a common thing since they're about 20 years old)
and i dont wanna ruin my transmission if i do get a leak

The radiators are fine it's just the end caps that fail due to metal to plastic joins failing. The reason you use the radiator as well is because the radiator has a fan to cool it while your sitting in traffic and obviously that cools the transmission also while your sitting still..
