VN Running Rough Help Please

Hi all just have a problem with my vn its a v6 duel fuel hasnt been running on petrol for a while so i changed my injector, fuel filter and placed another fuel filter before the fuel rail at the back of the engine , took it for a test drive and every time i go for the accelerater almost as if its flooding and just about stalls so i dont know what it is could it be because of that fuel filter or bad fuel or what im unsure all help would be great cheers

Check the fuel filter(s) are both on the right way around, they only flow properly in one direction. Also check that the new injectors you got aren't different to the old ones, check the part numbers

my car runs great on gas just petrol is the TPS connected to the gas side of things as well or not

Unless your gas system uses the engine management system for fuel then I suspect not.

The car nearly stalling is most likely fuel starvation,not flooding. Ive seen a lot of cars that are on petrol and gas have problems with the fuel pump.Its probably because the fuel system isnt used much with most cars only running on gas most of the time..A duel fuel vehicle should be run once a week for 15 minutes on petrol,just to keep the fuel in the tank from going stale,and also to keep the fuel system in working order.Firstly Id try putting a cup of metholated spirits (metho) in the fuel tank with around half a tank of fuel,this will get rid of any moisture or water that could be built up in the fuel tank.It wont hurt anything doing this.Its an old trick,and works well.If theres no improvement,then Id look at getting the fuel pressure checked,or replacing the fuel pump.Try to run it on petrol once a week once its fixed if you can.Cheers.

I recently had the same problem with my VP but it was only petrol, not gas. I tried everything then the auto electrician found my computer was playing up. it was keeping the injectors open and flooding the engine. it was behaving like it was starving but that is the best i have got. The new computer fixed my problem and also fixed the idle problem. its worth a try
