guages : water temp, oil press ?

how do i hook up guages to water temp and oil pressure. is there a wiring pickup somewhere ? do i have to put a sensor into a water line somewhere ?
im gonna get a mad tacho with water temp and oil pressure in the tacho face. just need to know what i have to do before i decide.

i wouldn't bother with a tacho, espesh on an auto.
oil and water you need senders, the come with the guages.
the senders should be electric, any of the fluid operated ones are illegal to run into the cabin.
