Default Ecotec power steering reservoir onto buick?

Well long story short, is it possible? Im sick of the reservoir on the buicks cracking so is there a way i could put a vs+ reservoir on? Would also cut out alot of heat soak aswell

My tuner has done it on his VN. Mounted the vs reservoir on the driver strut tower. I believe he made a fitting with an o-ring to take the place of where the bottom of the existing buick reservoir force fits onto pump.. if that makes sense? then runs a hose from the fitting to the new reservoir.

I'm going there tomorrow, i'll try to take a pic

I was thinking something along thise lines......

Had an idea to cut off the bottom of the reservoir that goes into the pump and get some sort of reducer that is the same size converting it to 8-10mm hose... and throwing on a new o ring, dont know how that would go but might be worth a shot?

If you could get some more info i'd really appreciate it

the pumps are the same i believe (same mounting and all that) except for where the reservoir connects i guess if you replace the vn pump for a vs pump and find somewhere to put the vs reservoir it could work . im not sure about the high pressure power steering line though. doing the pump isnt to hard. save you stuffing up you're car maybe go to a place like pick a part and take the pump off a vs and see if you can fit it to a vn while you're there. at least if it doesn't work you don't have to put it all back together you can just walk away!

I think Holmart sell both of these pumps. Have a look at the pictures.
    SPECIALS December 10
They look to be exactly the same like Ryan21 says and not a bad price for a reco pump.

they are the same pump except the VS pump has a piece of pipe press fit into the body of the pump to fit the hose.

the only thing that could be a issue is the mounting location of the reservoir, i think it needs to be higher then the pump to ensure the system is self bleeding and no airlocks can occur. but I'll be happy to be proven wrong as I'm intending to do something similar
