FM not working but AM is on stock radio :S

Hi guys,

I have a 92 calais. Antenna is going up and AM is working fine. Go to FM and there is plain static. Only thing that is telling at all is that there is no different types of static. Through all the channels... it is exactly the same static. Any thought would be appreciated

Perhaps the antenna has become disconnected. Perhaps you might need to re-tune the stations. Perhaps your radio is just 'dead'.

the am doesnt work off the normal antenna i beleive... its like an internal antenna... sounds like the antenna wire is unplugged...

Now to find out how to get to the antenna connection. Would you be thinking behind the quater panel where the antenna is or behind the stereo?

The antena plugs into the stero and then again theres another plug in the passangers footwell around where the computer is. There isent any connections under the gaurd anless its a auto antena but then its only for the motor.

In all honesty if its a stock head unit it could just be getting old, when i replaced my stock head unit my left speakers came could and reception was much clearer.
