Hey I'm in Chelsea 3196 about 15 minutes from frankston, yea I had the charger installed previously but I used the wrong pulley and was told to use a twin belt harmonic balancer and run the belt to there from the charger part from that I should have all the parts

What size pulley does it have diameter

The screeching will be the belt slipping so it sound like theres not enough tension on the belt.

Havent installed one before but it wouldnt be difficult

BTW i saw you n your car today just off wells road where the school is im guessing it was your mate getting in the car looks like a very neat wagon (i was in the gold vp wagon)

Ohh wish I saw you, yea I know what you mean now, i will be able to install it if it's just due
To tension but I don't think the bracket I got given when I bought it could support
Much more pull on it, does anyone make them up? Or know a website that sells them?

throw up a pic of the bracket/brackets i'll see what i think. I can make new brackets for you if you wish i'm a fabricator by trade have you got any pics from when it was on your car?
Do you know if this a backyard job or a proper CRS Kit?

alright i dont have the photos anymore, and i just searched for the brackets and couldnt find them, been sitting in the garage so long,
most likely got thrown out, but i have a photo of the s/c and the pully i got given with it

and the part i have circled. the inlet pipe, i dont know how the guy i baught it off got it to sit low enought, but when i had it installed, it sat high, i still got it to work, but
a inlet pipe that comes of the side would be handy, if anyone knows how to get those.

found this in a previous thread

i added the silver peice for extra strength coz i had to the belt was pulling the s/c out of line, when i tested it belt came off and took power steering fluid box with it haha,
but that was the old bracket
but i cut the added peice so it doesnt attach to body, becuase when engine moves, its restricted.

ok i can tell right now that it was a dodgey setup looking at that your running a seperate belt for the charger the proper kits or any decent setup incorperates into the factory pulley system. I think it also has an extra idler pulley next to the charger

To fix this your going to need complete set of new brackets made or bought. this will probably cost about $500 (estimate) maybe more or less depending whether you pay someone to do it or buy them from CRS (doubt theyd be cheap from them).

Best thing would be to copy someones else's brackets much easier than screwing around for ages trying to get it right

ahyeah to easy, well if i had new brackets, i might not need to change the inlet direction or you think it will be roughly the same,
and when i did had it installed, it was very loud like a vacuum cleaner was under the hood aha, can that sound be quietend or thats how they are

In regards to the inlet it doesnt really look right . It might be the orignal toyota one that someone has used to make it work as far as i know CRS cast theyre own . So you could buy one from them or once again get one made.

Depending on the condition of these and how fast you spin them the more noise they generate

But yes theyre quite loud there are simple things you can do to make them quieter for example running the airbox instead of using a pod filter
