Ok, so after running the car until it overheats I've checked relays and fuses which are ok. Next I hooked up the fan to an external power source and it works. I then checked the termo element at the rear of the engine via a multi meter and some boiling water and it gives a reading.
Is there something I'm still overlooking?
Also can I hard wire the fan in anyway (until I can $$$ for repairs)?
do a search for "how to wire a thermo fan bypass switch"
As said above in dact there a thread in this section regarding same sort of issue in which i posted some info.
Put the car diagnostics mode see if fans comes on it should if not then theres a wiring issue of some sort.
If you have checked all the wiring and fan doesnt come yet it works as you stated i'd be suggesting try replacing the ecu with a knnown working one and see if it works then
