can you install any kind of guage on a auto vp commodore?
Cheers
Do you mean this is going to sound even more stupid than that neons thread you started.
What gauge do you want?
tht neon thread i ment interior lol
umm idk what kinda would work on an auto
Gauge for what and mounted where ?
I reckon a barometer would be handy. That way you would know when it's going to rain so you know when you'll need to turn your wipers on. I'd put it right in the middle of the dash so you don't miss it.
lol ^^^
would be a bad idea lol
What do you want your gauge to tell you?
i was thinking tachometer and water temp
i sound really stupid asking this
Yeah mate anything can be done just head down to a place like autoabarn pick what you like and they will even fit it for you.
Dont feel stupid mate everyone has to start learning somwhere.
alright kool thx bro
Ya can put any gauge on it from tacho water/oil temp fuel pressure air fuel mix and so on but ya dont need a tacho it has a computer that stops it revin to much. so about the only 1 ya would really need is a temp gauge but dont it have 1 of them anyway ?
yer but its sticky
I was trying to be nice mate
Do yourself a favour and spend a bit of time searching through the forum for information before asking your questions. From what I've seen everything you've asked on here has been covered a million times before and asking these sorts of questions will only have people getting in a laugh at your expense.
There's heaps of info on here about various gauges, their functions and how to install them. You can learn a lot from searching on this site and then when you've got a question you can't find an answer for you make a thread. Takes a bit more effort to find the info but you'll learn a lot more in the process.
You can fit any gauge you want to the car, whether or not it has a useful purpose is another matter. If you want a tacho the easiest (and cheapest) thing for you to do is get yourself a level 2 cluster. Water temp is already in the cluster but if you want an aftermarket one you mount it where you want it and connect it to the water temp sender on the motor. Basically you mount the desired gauge to the car wherever you want it and connect it to the appropriate sensor/switch/whatever and away you go.
