    Default v8 auto to manual conversion

    hi just starting to get some bits together for a manual conversion in a vn v8 and im struggling to find a tailshaft. will a v6 tailshaft do the job?

    If it helps at all the front half of the tailshaft is different auto to manual but the back half is the same.

    Oh sorry i missread the question!

    Ive had the V6 and V8 tailshafts out next to each other and i didnt notice a difference in length. Didnt go far enough into comparing them to check the input shaft but im 99% sure there the same V6/V8 anyway.

    As far as i know differences manual V6/V8 are,

    Starter
    Flywheel
    Bellhousing
    Gearbox (internals only)
