Hi has any one done this mod before or know if it can be done thanks jeff
I know the k frames are interchangeable but the i don't know if you can bolt the rest up because of the different strut tops?

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
was thinking of changing the strut tops for the vn only thing i was worried about was what is all the extra bolts on the strut top of the vs are the there for strenght or as i have heard to help keep suspension alingment better than the vn it looks like it will all fit otherwise 2 cars side by side and compared any more thoughts thanks jeff
Just put the strut top off the vn on the vs strut as they bolt up different at the bottom dont they ?
the hole size in the bearing is different between vb-vp 14mm to vr-vs 16mm, so unless you can set the strut up in a lathe to take 2mm off the spiggot diameter you wouldnt be able to use the early bearing plate, unless you can change the bearing in the early bearing plate for one with a bigger id,if you could do any of those it would fit but dont know how it willl effect the track, might make it wider.
im going to be putting a set of adjustable VN strut tops into my VR so will have to get the bearing pressed out and also have to make an adaptor plate to bolt up to the chassis.
also, VR/VS K frame has wider mounting points for the lower control arms, And longer lower control arms. you MIGHT be able to use VR/VS control arms combined with VN struts but not sure. it would still kick out the front track pretty massively. put it this way, stockies were sticking out of the guards on my VN and i had a VL RB30+kframe + VR control arms+struts in unless i made it have demon camber to bring the top of the tire back under the guard.
EDIT: whats your reason for wanting to do the conversion? if its just a suspension reason it wont be roadworthy due to the increased front track, and if its an engine swap reason, both buick and ecotec mount the same.
