I have recently purchased a HSV Clubsport 5000i it is completely original inc the tape deck, full service history and only 134000 klms for a very cheap price. The build number is 05 and everything is correct except it is missing the decal on the left hand side of the boot. Apparently it displays the build number of the car. I have not been able to get any pictures of the decal and it is no longer made. Can anyone help me out????
Also I would like to get some ideas on what it is worth?
not much bud,
is it one of these ?
If so maybe you can contact these guys ?

Good stuff mate. These clubbys have the vn group A block in them.
You ask the worth of them mate.?
There worth whatever someone will pay. Put a price on it and live the dream.
Thanks for your help so far guys, the reason I was asking on some thoughts on what it was worth, was for insurance purposes.
Reaper I have attached a photo of the front caliper (luckily it is sitting on a set of 20's at the moment while i get the gutter rash fixed on the originals) and the engine number begins with VK
Hopefully someone can help me with the decal on the boot.
by memory it was the same colour and font as the clubsport decal, wernt they orange?
The build number is only on the dash and was never displayed on the boot, ring HSV for badges and stickers and quote your VIN number to them
here's a picture of the "clubsport" sticker
Only the white VP clubbis 5000i's with the black bottom's have 4 bolt main's (the last 50 clubbies made) and there a BLACK motor your 5000i might have the 200kw RED motor (look at the colour of yor enigine covers)
nice to see it has the 5000i twin piston front brakes too![]()

Thats handy to know mate. As im told all group A (VN and VL's) were 4 bolt mains, and the left over blocks went into the VP GTS and the last 50 VP clubsport 5000i's (all 4bolt VPs seemed to have the Black engine covers)
so 4 bolts have the 'VK' prefix on the engine number??
Isnt that just a clubsport duckers in that picture i though 5000i had it on the sticker too?

The engine covers are black and not red.
I will post some photos of the car tommorrow for you all.
Working for a Holden Dealer I have checked build specs and HSV archives and engine number vin etc is 100% correct.
Your sticker has 5000i on it? i remeber seeing one years back a white one number 35 i think it was has a carbie on it im pretty sure it had 35 of 50 on the exterior

thats not a normal VP clubbie 5000i thats the rare 1 i was talking about above, only 50 made white/black 2 tone, black 200kw motor with 4 bole mains (same motor as VP GTS) white boot garnish factory. the red one above doesn't have 4 bolts only these white/black one's do
Also why its got gray/black VP senator wheels factory
Ok - sounds like you have the real thing. Those brakes are the std brakes which are the same as the VN SS group A. The calipers are the same as a 1988 (ish) C4 Corvette (heavy duty). I have some spare bits of the calipers if you ever need them.
VK motors are 4 bolt group a motors out of the VN less the ttb intake.
5000i's had a different sticker than that. I have the boot of one out the back - I'll take a pic if I get home early enough tomorrow

I belevee reaper still has them them he was talking to me about some rims a while back.
Now I Believe there is only 3 vp clubsport models. Your normal VP Clubsport, the VP CLubsport 5000i which they only made 50 of and a 5th anniversary model which they made 65. From your post You suggest that there was another model duckers.

your got me tihkning I found number 7 (stolen), 11 and 25 on the net all white/grey
5000i # 11
5000i #25
and found this 5 minutes later
The VP Clubsport 5000i were limited to a run of 50. Anywhere from 10 to 14 were exported to NZ, depending on the HSV source you read. The remainder stayed in Oz. The exports were randomly selected from the run, so the numbers weren't in series.
All VP Clubsport 5000i's were Alaskan white in colour, with the grey sideskirts, grey lower bibs on the front and rear bars, with the same grey on the HSV "P" type clubsport 17" x 8" rim. All genuine VP Clubsport 5000i's have 5000i decals on the rear of the car (under the RHS brake light assembly) and also 5000i decals under the side indicators on the front guards. There will also be a HSV plate on the black coloured throttle body plate that says "HSV - 5000i".
A genuine VP Clubsport 5000i will have a HSV plate on the firewall behind the brake booster with the model number of CS5000i, build number between 1 and 50 and a build date in-between 01.05.1993 and 30.06.1993.
An easy identifier on the exterior of the VP Clubsport 5000i's, is that the build number is actually written on the boot of the car. This is the ONLY HSV that has ever left the factory with the build number on the exterior of the car for all to see. Also, the rear garnish that goes in-between the tail lights (normally the red panel that holds the number plates on VP models) is colour coded white. This may “look funny” at first, but suits the car right down to the ground.
The VP Clubsport 5000i's also had the VP GTS driveline, which included an efi "black motor".
The black motor consisted of VN Group A 4 bolt block, VN Group A "D" port heads, VN Group A crank and rods, flat top pistons with a revised compression ratio of 9.0:1 instead of the normal 8.6:1, double row roller timing chain, VN Group A timing chain damper, crane "gold" roller rockers, larger diameter lifter bores (like the Grp A) to accommodate the cleveland lifters etc.
All engines covers on the black motors (including the VP Clubsport 5000i) will have BLACK tappet, and fuel rail covers. NOT RED as quoted before. This is an easy identifier of the black engine (in standard form of course).
The memcal for all 200kw VP Clubsport 5000i's was the BDJH programme. You will find this number stamped on the memcal. This memcal was different to the VN Grp A chip. The BDJH chip was to suit an auto, revised camshaft to suit higher comp, lower rev limit than the Grp A, slightly revised fuel and ignition maps....
The auto's in the VP Clubsport 5000i's were exactly the same as the auto's used in the VP GTS.
Diff gears in the VP Clubsport 5000i were standard with 3.27:1. A bit different to all other HSV's (except the VP GTS).
The VP Clubsport 5000i's also had the revised VN Grp A brakes (same as the VP GTS). They were revised to accept ABS. Fronts include 330mm discs with twin piston PBR calipers. The rears were treated to ventilated 289mm x 20mm discs with HSV modified PBR calipers.
All VP Clubsport 5000i's were standard with IRS, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric aerial, power steering, air conditioning, 85L long range fuel tank, HSV dual cat stainless steel exhaust system with HSV tuned length 1 5/8" extractors, and that ugly yellow SV5000 spare! (Used to clear the 330mm calipers on the front in the event of a flat).
^^^^ I can personally confirm most of the above from the bits and pieces I have/had from my one. By the looks of things I had build #26.
Yeah - they are out the back somewhere. 3 are in great condition. The 4th has substantial scratches and will need to be resprayed.
