unsure if i need a new gearbox for VN????

Im unsure but i think i need a new gearbox??? It just gets stuck in 1st and 2nd when driving eeeeppp!!!! what do i need???

change the oil, hopfully it will free up 3rd for ya, if not then yea you need it repaired/replaced

Mine was doing that 2 months back.. i had to get a new one.. apparently the clutch that engages the gears was buggered

could need a kick down cable adjustment. take it to an auto trans place get them to check it out.

thanks guys xo its been checked out and it has to be replaced unfortunately now thats the next step

when the band wears out it will hold 2nd it would need replacement
sometimes when they get hot or after 5 minutes of driving it will change gear but will slip (rev more than it should not go forward)

i have a free vn auto box in perth you jsut have to remove it
