VP tail light holster.

Hey guys, I am looking for a VP Calais real tail light harness, not sure what it's called nowdays but that's what it used to be called (it's the part you plug the bulbs into, to the plug you connect to the rest of the car).

I rang up Holden today to see if they could order me a set but apparently they are obsolete and aren't being produced anymore, to make matters worse nobody in Australia has any either.

I was just wondering if there was another model that had the same setup that I could use? The bloke on the phone was no help at all, but he said I could possibly get a set from another model, a higher model in the VR or VT range.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm not too keen on going to an auto elec to get a new set made up and the wreckers here only seem to have dodgy rusted ones that are from a VP not a Calais so it makes my warning light light-up.

I had to doo the run around the wreckers grabbing what looms i could so that i could make a good set.

Most loom have one or 2 outta the 4 that are corroded, once u get 4-5 looms u can cut n solder then and make one good pair.

Thats the way i found easiest, very very hard to find a good loom with all globe holders in good nic.

How much? Is it a VP Calais with the little earth connector? And is it a set or just the one? Can you send it through post?
I won't need the bulbs as it will need to be posted (unless you live in Coffs Harbour).
I just bought a VY on Tuesday and got it registered today so I am a bit strapped for cash at the moment but I am definitely interested.
I probably won't be able to afford it till late next week but I am keen on getting the old VP fixed up and ready for sale.

Yep thats how i had planned to do mine, but did have enough 2prong plugs, so just used indicator onse all round, have brakes up top parkers down bottom
