    Default vn calais troubles

hi boys went out and brought a 5 speed vn calais on the weekend, to do up for my P's, was a 5ltr but it is now a 5 speed v6, worked engine not to sure whats been done but acording to the old man and the last owner it goes pretty hard and wants to get side ways alot, been set up for 20's camber and all that shit to suit, mixed body kit from three diffrent cars looks tuff.

anyway way im having a few problems with it, first the engine fan isnt turning on, heard it could be the ECU?, electric winndows arnt working ??, the insides getting really hot and smells like exhaust fumes? has no heater/aircon so couldnt be that, and have been told by the RAA that it has a dash problem?
anny help with this would be great cheers

sounds like you have bought a fail of a car. Sell it for whatever you can get and buy something that isn't fubar.

sounds like it might have seen better days, there's a thread in the howto about how to make the fan come on with a switch, try that. could also be worth temporarily running a 12v direct to it to see if power to it makes it go, otherwise it could just be a fried motor.
the cabin/heat are you sure it's got no heat? didn't think you could roady without that. if the heater tap goes you'll get heat whether you want it or not, so that could be it, but if it's heat and stink i'd be looking at cabin seals. check under the gearshift boot. but for fumes to be making it from the rear exhaust to their is hard to believe, so you could have an exhaust leak closer to the front.

also if it's a vn calais then it's live axle, and you can't have it set up for camber, which is an IRS term.
