Hey mate, yeh I reckon it would be hard, very hard unless there's a kit Somone makes, the entire engine management system would have to be wired in a total new loom not to mention the fly by wire throttle and heaps of sensors, then you need to no if the engine is going to fit into the k frame without hitting the steering rack and leaving enough room for exhaust and the gear box bellhousing probly won't bolt up, so you would need an adaptor or the sv 6 box, you will need heaps of custom fittings and nuts and bolts and man hours lol I reckon it would be hard but cool if to can do it.

Its been done before. Can't see it being any worse then an LS2 conversion. But for the cost, why are you keen on a v6?

Wouldn't be able to change the motor due to the law because it would be classed as a performance mod

Yep can't put an Alloytec in anyway.

4.2ltr stroker is the best you could do. Not worth the money NA IMO.

i've often thought about this kinda conversion too, would be sweet to see and I reckon would be a nice change, lots of power, smooth and economical
haven't been working for over 10 months and I HATE IT. If you know of any positions, let me know please, I'm willing to travel/move if necessary. I just want to be working again!!!

Ben Hosking's Project XXX has an Alloytec 190 and its a VP i think. So maybe see if you can find some old Street Commodores or search their site too. But from memory it's not finished and it's been a few years now...

Any (ANY) modification(s), unless approved to ADR standards, that change/alter/modify any aspect of your vehicle from the ADR standards/requirements that existed at the time of manufacture of your vehicle are ILLEGAL. Thought you might like to know before outlaying any money only to find that your car can no longer be driven on a road because it no longer complies with ADR's.
