need some help

Hi everone Im new to this site . This is my 3rd 93 vp exec wagon Iv got this problem when Im going down the freeway between 90 & 100 k's I get a strange noise coming from the rear of the car i can only hear it when the car is in 4th and just holding the go pedel down a bit just to bring it back to a hundred again if i drop the auto back to 3rd its fine and takes off. I cant work it out but it does change the performance of the car its like it dont want to go. Anyone know what Im on about? Thanks.

what sort of noise a whine? a thump? a whistle?

is it like a vibrating sound that can just hear,and does it also fell like its just pulling you into your seat,if so im having the the same problem as you
