    Default removed bellmouth=engine light on

    hey guys i removed my bellmouth and tryed resetting it without a rev tacho but just reved it constantly for 8 seconds. does it need to be exactly on 3000rpm?
    and now my engine light is on?

    You've knocked something off the engine. Go make sure everything is plugged in properly.

    Check all your plugs and vac hoses. Is it idling ok?

    And no, you dont need to rev it. It will learn the changes (if any) quick enough.

    oh k, well yeh starts fine and when cold, revs high then drops after 1 second , i thought it would rev higher when its cold for quite a while?

    do an error check bud. if engine light is on it should have stored an error code in your ecu, that should narrow the problem down a bit

    yeah mate as above check error codes, it basically tell you whats stuffed instead of you going looking for it

    i wouldnt be revn your car higher while its cold

    just checked all the connections, there all in, il have to do an error check on the ecu i have no idea whats the go

    Dont disconnect it,this will clear any set codes and you wont know what has caused the engine light to come on then,just follow the steps in this link to check the codes.
    ---Checking your Computer for Faults (VN - VP)---
    Once the codes have been flashed up and youve written them down or whatever,then you can disconnect the negative battery terminal which will then clear any set or old codes logged in the ECU.
