Need to change my engine oil on my 304 vn calais dual fuel just wondering what people would recommend using?
Was thinking Penrite sin 10 but dont know if thats the right one to use or if there is better ones ?
I'd use 20w 50 cheers
check for the one that runs lpg there are oils that are designed to run with LPG as I believe its drier running than petrol
i used nulon 20-50 and no worries here.
but repco 20-50 is actually penrite oil, and its cheap when its on special
how many kms does it have and does it burn any oil on the current viscosity?
motor has around 180,000k's on it and i dont think it burns any oil is dual fuel but fuel pump is dead atm so it only ever gets run on gas so should i be getting a oil for lpg or just any good brand 20w50 will do the job?
Mate who's a mechanic got me on Valvoline Max Life 20/50 semi sinthetic n the V6 runs well on it and i'm pretty sure its good enough for gas.
probably a 20w50. But i do know the castrol 15w40 (used to be called gtx3 in a red bottle, now is a grey bottle) is safe for lpg engines although it might be a bit thin
well thanks for the help everyone just going to use a good brand 20w50 and see how she runs on it =)
just read the bottle aswell man, it should say wether it is lpg compaitable, if not ask someone who works at the shop and hopefully they can answer you or find out if that particular oil is ok
you can check on most oil company web sites they have a lube guide. I'd look at using Castrol Magnatec which I think is OK on gas however they do make a diesel variant as well.
