Power steering pump Hub

Finally got my hands on a power steering pump! Does anyone have any tips for pressing the hub onto the pump. I was told you need to be careful as you can take the **** out of the pump if you don't do it properly. Anyone done this before?

when my pump was kitted the mechanic just used the bolts and tightened it up evenly

Apparently your supposed to use a hydraulic press to get it on, but 45 minutes of bashing it with a lump hammer seemed to work ok for me!
