Post Redback 2.5" straight through or rear resi?

    G'day,
Im considering purchasing a redback 2.5" exhaust, just wanted to gather opinions of what people thought sounded better?
I want something a bit meaty with a growl and dont know whether a rear resi or without one will sound better?
Dont want anything that sounds pingy or tinny, call it what you like

    Cheers all.

Either a Redback or Lukey 2.5" will be fine, you will probably need a rear resi or at least a hotdog to stop a bit of drone.

+1 for at least something, otherwise it's loud enough to attract unwanted attention, and you'll hate the drone...

I had a VN Calais V6, stock headers, de-cat, 2.5", Lukey muffler, hotdog and 3" oval tip.

Droned like a bitch between 1500 to 2000 RPM, and thats range where I did most of my driving around town. On longer trips sitting on 100km there was no drone, any acceleration and and it was constant BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

I have a VR auto with advance headers stock cat and redback 2.5" catback with no rear resi, drones a bit when driving around town. Drones a bit sitting on 100kmh too.

I'd suggest putting on at least a hotdog at the rear to lessen the drone.

i jus finished my exhaust setup on my vn, its got pacemakers going into a 200cell high flow then into a red-back system,
sounds really low an meaty right up to about 3500 - 4000rpm then the v6 blurt kicks in. So i mite look into getting a resi put in to try an get rid of the blurt, the drone it has isn as loud as i thought it would be, an at 100 its very faint.
Il make a vid of it next time i go out.

BTW this is on VN manual

Redback systems sound awful, the worst drone you have ever heard. Definitely get a resi they have a nice deep sound to them with that.
