how much fuel is left in the tank when it cuts out? could be as simple as running low on fuel and it moving to the other side of the tank.

Well if you drove the car normally, you wouldn't need to be putting the foot down through corners!

Pfff, what!!!!.Mate, some people arent scared of their car and actually like to drive it,which usually includes accelerating through or out of corners etc, reading that reminds me of these clowns who buy an SS or whatever and then drive then at 40 km/h everywhere.Im sure most people buy one thinking it makes them look good, then they are either just too hopeless or scared of driving it. 99% of SS owners I see, drive them like granny, why not just get a normal commodore if you cant drive, driving a sports oriented car like granny is just a waste of a good car.And driving quick doesnt always mean driving like an idiot.

You were obviously were never taught, or understanded the concept of "Time & Place". Just because people buy an SS and you don't seem them open it, doesn't mean they never do. Or it does. What difference does it make to you anyway? For all you know they could take it to a track and be sensible about it.

Mate, driving quickly is a world away from driving radically or unsafely.Ive been driving quickly for 25 years,Ive never crashed a car,or even had a speeding ticket.Ive got a NSW gold 5 year licence now,and I never drive at the speed limit, always over it.(except school zones) or in areas where kids might be around town,,but what Im really getting at is that 95% of SS owners drive them slower than normal, like 60-70 in an 80 zone,or 40-50 in a 60 zone etc.,as I said, its like they are scared of them,I see it every time I drive, theres an SS going slow or even holding up traffic. And its usually people aged over 30 driving.

What a stupid bloody admission. From what you tell us, you are in your mid 40's and you haven't grown up yet.

But you tell us you never drive at the speed limit apart from limited occasions.

I would love to see you justify that to the police or the courts.

"Sir, can you explain to my why you were speeding back there?"..."Officer, it's alright. I do it all the time, and I never get caught. I'm only driving quickly, not like an idiot"

It never ceases to amaze me,theres always some do gooder on here trying to come across as a model citizen thats never done anything wrong.Pfff.Probably one of these people who drive their SS at 40 kmh everywhere because they are scared of driving it properly..

    Wrong. In all aspects mate.

I do speed sometimes. Rarely. Unlike you, who rarely stays on, or under the limit. Difference. As a matter of fact, I'm an actual P plater, driving a V6 VN. Notorious hoon car, but guess what? Because I do drive sensibly, I RARELY get pulled up. The only times I get pulled up, are when I'm 60km from my home area and they wonder what I'm doing out there.

So grow up, and learn to respect the law a bit more. It's there for yours, and everyone elses safety.

Yeah, your on p plates, probably inexperienced. So I can see why you look at it like you so.Most experienced drivers KNOW what they can or cant do,whilst keeping yourself,AND other road users safe at the same time.I know when I can sit on 105 - 110 kmh in a 100 zone and I regularly pass highway patrol at this speed,I dont try to slow down when I see them like 99 % of people do,and more than likely, the copper is doing 110 too.Ive never been booked yet,as I said before,Ive never been booked in 25 years.I dont even think Ive ever gained any demerit points against my licence .But I agree with one thing, your on your P plates ,you stick to the speed limit like you say you do and there will be one less unexperienced speeding P plater..

To me it sounded like he wants to spin the wheels out of corners (HENCE WHY HE SAID A FEW SQUIRTS AROUND ROUNDABOUTS & CORNERS)

Yes driving a car fast requires you to put your foot down coming out of a corner in the right section of it!

My car is doing something similar when turning left and giving it a bootful, it will make a bang bang bang bang bang noise like a machine gun and lose most of the drive (instead of the LSD giving drive to the outside wheel), Turns out the pinion seal in my lsd is rooted and my diff needs a rebuild so its going in for that in a couple of weeks as well as engine out welch plugs (killing 2 birds with 1 stone).

As for the speeding part if I'm cruising along at the speed limit with my family in the car I always try my hardest to be safe and drive to the conditions (find it funny when ****heads tailgate me trying to speed me up when I am doing the speed limit, I usually slow down a bit more). have been known to give it a bootful when driving alone tho hehe.

'just a thought' one of my old cars did that and it was a broken cat converter , when ya went around the corner bits of the cat would roll around inside and block off the exhaust then die till it moved again...
