hey guys,
im wondering if any one knows how to get around this issue. i need to run half inch (-8) fuel line from my standard vn fuel tank to my in boot surge tank. how ever the standard fuel sender unit doesnt allow for any thing bigger than -6. ive looked at welding a -8 fitting onto the tank but cant figure out how the pump is going to get the fuel to the weld on fitting.
any ideas.
Where I used to live there was 2 specialists that do that kind of thing, hoses and joiners and custom jobs. One was called ENZED ENZED Australia - Service Centres click on QLD.
The other one was called (something)link, they are also Australia wide but sorry I cant remember the name.
I hope ENZED is useful to you, they do pretty much everything and at cheap prices.
I made this fitting using some 5/16 fuel line and a short bit of old power steering solid pipe and silver solder and the right angle pre bent rubber hose from the charcoal canister from any vn/p/r with a couple of hose clamps for my vh that needed similar difference in its fuel hose sizes when we fitted a different tank for the fuel injection and it worked fine....when I went to enzed here.....they didnt have a clue so I had to make it.
