I have a vp commodore.
Jumped in it to drive it to work this morning, Got about 10kms up the road...
Car cut out while driving, pulled it up and went to start it... Would not fire...
Had no warning of it dying nothing....
Let it cool down (Possible CAS issue) still nothing....
Checked fuel lines (This car loves to vapour lock) still nothing...
Car has no alarm... turned off with zardi key before i brought it...
any one got any suggestions... I replaced the fuel pump 2 months ago....
I was also getting fuel to the front...
Could it be a spark issue? And if it is, why did i have no warning?
Sorry for the million questions... So frustrated by it.

Could still be the CAS. Have you checked the fault codes?
Havent had a chance too... Being a saturday in a small town, no mechanics.... Didnt really wanna take it to the mechs unless i absoulutely had too... the damned thing knows when its pay week i swear :/

Don't need a mechanic, just a paper clip and the ability to count.
It's on here how to do it, I'll find a link.
Here ya go.
Checking your Computer for Faults (VN - VP)
If no fault code, could be a buggered ECU.
If you feather the accelerator while cranking will it start?
Nah wont start at all... Checked out the codes today, gunna try it tomorrow...
I have a sad sad feeling that its going to be something major! Possible timing belt blown...
Wouldnt surprise me really... Just makes me wanna throw the car back at the previous owner...

Also im not sure its going to show codes... When you put it on accessories the engine light doesnt come up... Should have been a dead give away to leave the heap of s**t where it was

crank angle sensor more then likely.
Had the same issue recenty. Something went thru the sensor and took the center post out.
Check for spark.
Horsepower = Torque x Engine speed / 5,252 =
ive left it over night, im going to try and figure it out again today... if not i guess im dragging it off to the mechanics before its sells

Looks like its as simple as it blowing its fuel pump... Should have seen the signs...
