VN V6 series 1 auto problem

hi guys
ive got a holden vn calais series 1 V6 Auto and the engine light lights up in the dash when driven in 1st and 2nd gear only. engine light will dissapear afer a while or if engine is switched off and switched back on. the speedo and odometer and average fuel mileiage doestn work because of the sensor on the end of the transmission is broken. could this be ralated or do i have a different problem??

could be.. Search the thread "check VN computer fault codes" - well soemthing similar to that. Do that procedure and the computer gives you an error code which indicates the problem area
