VP ignition remote alarm problems

Could someone tell me how to disable the ignition remote alarm for a VP, mine works intermittently and keeps shorting out the fuel pump, have had battery replaced in button thingy, get a strong red light, sometimes it goes first go other times more often or not you could sit there and try for ever and get no where, I dont want to call in an auto elec until I know I cant do it myself, any help would be appreciated

use the override key to turn off the immobiliser. its in the passanger front door- u can see it when its open

provided that you have the override key

theres a keyhole in front of the the passenger door, you'll see it when the doors open.
if you can't find the key, you'll have to drill out the rivets on it.

Or you can replace the button on the pc board in about 5 minutes with basic soldering skills or you can get a replacement programmable remote from jaycar or dick smith for about $40 bucks and use that.
