    Default VP 5.0 temp issue

Hey peeps ive been having a strange problem lately.

When i first start my car up from cold it takes about 10-15 mins to reach optimum temp, but after that it shoots up dramatically to the point that its at max!.... but if i pull over and turn the car off and start it again it quickly returns to a good running temperature... now i know its not the thermostat because i have recently put a new one in... any ideas???

    Thanks

could be the water pump vanes, when they corrode you don't move coolant properly. have you fully bled the system?

thermostat or radiator starting to get blocked or hose's from motor to radiator are soft and sucking in...

    I would start with thermostat

hey mate had the same issue with a patrol i used to own and it was a bad connection on the thermostat. the wire when heated was losing connection and giving a false reading. i just stripped it back and reconnected it.
