$3500. its really hard to say until someone decides they might want it. the engine noise might turn out serious and see an offer under 3K, it might be nothing and you might see 4K cleared. given the high odo reading i wouldnt bargain on too much.

having said that its a bloody nice looking car! wouldnt worry about what it 'might' be worth just enjoy your beast!

personally, VNs are really old, i doubt you'll get more than 2500 for it. Its clean, but people will not like the things it needs. Like the noise from the motor etc.

Only thing that might fetch more, is the fact its a Spac manual.

hmm... not $4500.. there is a 5spd VN SS V8 for sale here for $4500...

having some rust and high K's will knock it down abit along with the engine noises...
if you wanna get the most money for it as you can you should get the engine looked at because if they have nothing to pick on you will most likely get your asking price..

i really dont think you will get $4500 for it but hey prove me wrong!!

I say it ain't worth selling, the high kilometres, rust and engine noises will bang the price down to something you wouldnt wanna hand the car over for. Personally I reckon recondition/rebuild the engine, do some work on the trans and diff maybe depending on their condition, fix up the rust and give it a respray if its needed. That way, you will have an absoloutley immaculate car. She looks bloody beautifeul tho mate nice and low with them ss wheels. The Calais interrior has speced it up alot too.

It all depends on the money you have and what you want to do, the engine may just have a minor problem, but at 320,000...well....shes had a good run.

cheers guys yer i had it all planned but just have been thinking recently i dont wanna put much more into it i was silly enough to buy it with 300,000 on it coz it was cleaner then nearly every other i looked at interior is immaculate i'll see how i go mite try selling if i cant get a price then i'll stick with her

just swap the dash cluster over for another one with less km's its not exactly honest but it will help you get a better price. with 200,000 on the clock you'll probably get at least 4k. don't flame me everyone I know lots of people who swap clusters some are at this forum lol

hey i found my vp manual with 154,000 on the dial cause some old ppl own it all the manuals i looked at were shit and thrashed i picked mine up for just under 7k so a descent vn manual that looks good maybe 3500 -4000 but get the engine noise checked or be prepared a lowere selling price you can always tell em the engine is a recon lol dodgy speedo winding back to lower klms

my car is pretty much the same as that. I have the S-pac manual, but only 198,000 on it when i bought it. i picked it up for $3,000, and then spent 500 fixing various things.

The 320,000 would be a MASSIVE turn off... commodore is the car that you drive all the time, so u would only get maybe another year or 2 out of it tops. The engine noise u spoke of would suggest to me that its almost gone.

Shame, cuz your car looks awesome! i know how good that model is, im in love with mine. but yeah i think ur looking maybe around the $3000 mark, your car is more quality than mine, but done anothe 100km... so yeah i would offer you 3

who buys a 15yr old car not planning to have a fiddle with it tho 200,000 is still alot of km's too u know doesnt mean its gonna be faultless compared to a 300,000 km car and ive only owned it 25,000 so maybe its already been rebuilt as the engine is strong as 140rwhp stock got dyno sheet to prove it compression was 153-155psi on all cylinders so i think theers hope its all only a small thing i cant fault it other then this noise start first time evrytime is nice and smooth. i think it would go along time before needng a rebuild

My friend sold his vn executive with body kit stereo, sports exhaust (no extractors) 240k on the clock with window seals falling off some missing everything was dodgy. Had respray marks for 5000 just recently in perth to a dealer. So dont give up. Someone will pay your price if your willing to wait.
