Hey Everyone,
When I first got my license I had a goal of getting my full license and a big v8. After holding my L's
and P's for 7 years (long story) its finally that timeMy plan up until now was to build a LS3 VS
but now I have different ideas! I have bought a $1000 dollar white VP wagon and bring on the LS3.
VP Executive Wagon 1992
Owned for about 4 weeks.
Wagon seems to be dead stock other than the middle section (cat to diff) has been replaced as a sports exhaust. Rear section is old and rusting through. (I don't get why it wasn't replaced too)
My modifications...
Cold Air Intake.
17" WH statesman Rims.
Removed Pinstripes.
Removed trolley bumpers.
Cut and polished whole car.
Swapped front seats to VS berlina.
Swapped entire front end to VS. (Bumper, Fenders, Lights, Bonnet, Radiator Support Panel.)
Crystal side blinkers.
Removed Holden Badge, Holden and Commodore badges.
Repaired front head light switch and bought new Plugs.
Goals...
Install a Corvette 325 kw LS3 6.2L V8
6 Speed manual
Rear air bag suspension.
Front Ultra/super low suspension.
VE Dash including Cluster, BCM and V8 ECU.
VE Custom rear bumper.
Big Big Brakes.
LSD Diff.
Big Tailshaft.
ABS and traction control.
HSV Sideskirts.
Eventually a Vortech but time will tell.
Castlemaine Rod Shop Engine and Transmission Mounts
Custom Extractors.
Twin 3 Inch exhaust.
The weekend that just past I went to a wreckers and stripped a VY sedan. I will be buying a VE to strip eventually but don't have the space right now.
From the VY I got:
Front seats,
Rear seat,
Dash,
Cluster and BCM,
Complete wiring from the whole car, except engine harness,
Brake booster, pedal and master cylinder,
Wiper motor,
Electric Antenna,
Sun Visors,
Heater box and aircon piping.
I know the VY dash will take some work to fit so I am gonna fit it in my VS then put it in the wagon. I have already stripped the VS and started.
sounds like a fun way to spend a lot of time/money good luck to ya
Sounds like a great project, no-one ever suspects the wagon hehe
Ill defiantly be keeping an eye on this thread. LS3 VP Wagon shit yeah !
Keep the updates rolling !![]()

My mate started putting side vents in front bumper which will lead to calipers,
Touched up paint where it had a very minor side swipe maybe shopping trolley.
I really wanna get an airbag setup soon or at least super lows.
Also need wagon side skirts and rear bumper.
Have been pretty flat out lately, most of what I've done was for first RTA inspection.
Went for Blue slip and :
Spotlights not yet plugged in... Must be plugged in or removed.
No LED wiper jets... cut harness off jet.
Rear tyre tread x2 too low.
Panhard Bushes need replacing.
Handbrake uneven... One side was pulling 49% over the other...Adjusted shoes.
Multicoloured headlights...BIG NO NO lol
4th seatbelt in rear...removed.
Stereo...ie sub n amp not bolted down in back of wagon.
Exhaust rusted at muffler....replaced last section.
Fixed all of the above and Transfered car into my name
Other stuff done:
Finally removed the last of the trolley bumper sikaflex with a caramel wheel.
Polished most of the car.
Lowered rear onto super low vs sedan shocks.
Started polishing the rims up and wet and dry sanding inside the rims.
Ordered rear clear tail lights.
Cleaned engine bay and cleaned up old buick v6.
Bought an aero front bar off a mate to throw on till mines finished.
Been having a little trouble tring to fit vy dash into my old vs, have been thinking about shortening it down a bit with a dremel but as of yet not looking good might have to wait till I buy some VE gear then do the hard yards.
Now I'm passed the inspection I can build the adaptor plates to fit the VY electric seats. Also doesn't look too difficult to put rear seat in but once again had to pass the inspection before I put them in.
Heres the rear lowered also had some empty boxes in the back.
sounds sweet mate, hows it comin along? lookin forward to see the ls3 in the old girl
