So i have a quick question...
As i learnt the other day my 92 VP has a return line entering the tank VIA my sender unit...
BUT my mum has a 92 VP that has her return line entering directly into her tank... Was there a change in tanks in the two month difference is it a possible that mine or her tank has been changed?

I think the change occurred with the VR, so your car has a VR tank. Not unusual for the end of model runs to be fitted with the next model parts (if they fit that is)
(Is your VP a later serial number than your mums, maybe close to the end of the run serial number?)
Illegitimi Non Carborundum
This change occured on the later VP models made on or after the 26th October 1992.There were a few changes made. The fuel tank return line was moved to the sender unit ,instead of being a seperate connector on the fuel tank. The rockers in the V6 engine were changed, the CAS (Crank Angle Sensor) is non adjustable. There was a revised fuel pressure regulator fitted with a larger diameter vacuum hose. There was revised injectors fitted. There was a revised memcal fitted, and error code 35 will now set if the idle cannot be controlled by the ECU through the IAC (Idle Air Control) solenoid. The heavy duty brake package that was available as an option on early VP's is now fitted standard to the later VP's.Theres a few other changes made,I think ABS was introduced, and there was a few smaller changes that I cant remember.
