replacing vn steering rack

Hi all
Just bought a vn series 2 few weeks ago.
has a laundry list of problems however getting through most of them.
Does anyone have a walk through on how to take out a steering rack and relace.

I have already got the tie rod ends knocked out.

Did the rack on my VP recently. VN should be the same. The only awkward bit is undoing the power steer connections on the rack. Just hard to get at. The rack sits nicely in place but you need to get all the road dirt out of the brackets where it sits or you won't be able to get the holes to line up to get the bolts through. If you try to bash them through you will damage the threads. I have a 2nd hand rack for a VN that has been pressure tested and has new boots fitted by SELBYS in Nowra going cheap if you're interested mob.0401386692
PS worth getting a manual if you're going to do much yourself
