    Default removing a vn 5 speed enging and box

    hi everyone i have a vn 5speed, now im taking out my engine with box atached.... now the engine wont come out i was wondering if there is something i am saposed to do that i might of missed or any tricks i should know about... cheers dylan

    Do you mean it doesnt move or it is coming out and something holding it back?
    Pulled the tail shaft and gearbox mounts undone?

    yer tail shart and crossmember are off wirering loom is out, power steering lines off and exurst is off but the engine wont budge

    Mate,you should buy a workshop manual and follow that.It makes life a hell of a lot easier if youve never removed an engine or done much mechanical work before. You will learn a lot from it too.As already mentioned,theres 2 engine mounts that have to be undone before the engine will move.

    yes i removed the engine mounts... and the shifter.... i have removed an engine out of a vn befor just it was auto

    power steering line or air con lines or see if extractors ect getting caught

    power steering lines allreadt off, no aircon, etracters ar off... it kind of looks like the gearbox is stuck on the power steering rack

    cheeers everone for ya help... turns out where the clutch cable mounts on the gearbox was stuck on the steering cloem... so i droped the rag and then the engine shot out like a bullet im happy as now...
